- Description: Leigh Scott makes the case that America’s true radicalism was its founding belief in God‑given rights and constitutional liberty, and that the real task today is restoring those principles through an America First, humanity‑first vision.

## America does not need another revolution. It needs a restoration.

The true radicalism of this country was in the ideas of its Founders: that we are all born free, with rights not granted by some king, but inherent by our birth and guaranteed by a higher power.

There is no common ethnicity that creates our bonds. It is a unity based on ideas.

The Constitution, and the freedoms and responsibilities it embodies, apply to all. That is why we both cherish it and fight to maintain it.

The America First movement is simply a “back to basics” idea to guarantee that the promise of freedom endures for future generations—not just here, but around the world.

Patriotism is neither extreme nor radical. The radical idea is putting the State above the individual—robbing people of the agency that we are fortunate enough to inherit.

As Ronald Reagan said,

> “If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on Earth.”

## America First is Humanity First.
